Where the Sidewalk Ends

If you’ve never read Shel Silverstein, you need to go to the library and pick up one of his many poetry books. He also wrote “The Giving Tree”, a sweet book that is well known. His poems carry a fun theme and kids love them. This is the first of his books of poems.

A Note About My Ratings

Ratings below each book are out of 5.

1 is me basically saying "I loathe you. And Your dog."

2 is me wondering, "Why was this book published?"

3 is me saying, "It's average. I have no love or hate; it's fine."

4 is me smiling through the whole book and saying, "Nooooo....don't end!"

5 is me having an existential crisis because it reached parts of my soul that I didn't know existed.

Ratings of 4 and 5 are usually books I end up reading more than once and want to own or already do.

I also try and have content warnings within my reviews or at the end of them so you'll never have to worry about getting hit with a book you thought you'd like but it swears like a sailor, has gore, violence, or sexual content. If I haven't said anything about content it's a good indicator that it is clean. It may have a few swear words, but otherwise safe to read.
