The Fire Within

When David moves in with Elizabeth Pennykettle and her eleven-year-old daughter, Lucy, he discovers a collection of clay dragons that come to life. David’s own special dragon inspires him to write a story, which reveals the secrets behind a mystery. In order to solve the mystery and save his dragon, David must master the magic of the fire within- not only with his hands but also with his heart.

This was a fun book, cute and geared toward kids probably 4-6th grade. It was mostly about these group of squirells that Lucy likes and David writes stories about with the help of his personal dragon, Gadzooks. This is a fun book and very entertaining, but it's mostly for younger kids and can be a bit dull for older people. It was still cute though.

Ratings below each book are out of 5.

1 is me basically saying "I loathe you. And Your dog."

2 is me wondering, "Why was this book published?"

3 is me saying, "It's average. I have no love or hate; it's fine."

4 is me smiling through the whole book and saying, "Nooooo....don't end!"

5 is me having an existential crisis because it reached parts of my soul that I didn't know existed.

Ratings of 4 and 5 are usually books I end up reading more than once and want to own or already do.

I also try and have content warnings within my reviews or at the end of them so you'll never have to worry about getting hit with a book you thought you'd like but it swears like a sailor, has gore, violence, or sexual content. If I haven't said anything about content it's a good indicator that it is clean. It may have a few swear words, but otherwise safe to read.
